Party management needed for leaders
During a recent visit to Sorrow's Furnace with an 8 member party, one member got bent out of shape over someone picking up an item that had decayed to no owner status, apparently convinced that it was his. We told him to can it, and he started yelling and spamming in the chat, so I put him on ignore and moved on. Later, during a battle, he ran off; he wasn't terribly useful anyway, so we just kept fighting.
About a minute later, we all abruptly zoned into Grenth's Footprint. He had run out of the zone, forcing us out, and immediately quit the team. Because of this, all of the enemies in the zone respawned and the SF quests we were trying to complete were reset. Needless to say, we were very frustrated.
Party leaders should be able to kick griefers, jerks, and useless players from their teams during missions and when travelling in instanced zones outside of cities. Give the leader a kick vote button on the party panel. When a kick vote is called, the other members of the party can click "yes" or "no" on the party panel. If a majority vote is reached, the player is booted out of the party and back to their point of origin (last city visited). Thus the problem is neatly removed, and the player isn't left wandering around in that party's instance to cause trouble.
I emphasize a vote kick rather than a plain old boot because that could be exploited. For example, if a team were hunting greens in SF and one dropped, the leader could immediately kick everyone and wait for the green item to decay to no owner status. Not very nice.
There are a great many hostile, stupid, and/or inconsiderate people polluting this game, and a feature like this would go a long way toward making the gaming experience more friendly and enjoyable.
